Ovarian Cyst/complex

I had a pelvic ultrasound today and received the report. The impression was a 5 cm. slightly complex right ovarian cyst. What does that mean. In the past I have had two cysts aspirated on that right ovary. Close monitoring and/or biopsy is advised.Should this be removed? Two weeks ago I went to the ER with pain in my right side Cat scan was done and I was told to follow up with OB/Gyn. who at that time said she would see me in May. I am starting to get concerned. My periods are awful with heavy bleeding and cramping. What do you suggest?  Thanks for the info.

hi there
Most cysts are related to ovulation and come and go. the standard follow up would be to repeat the ultrasound after a menstrual cycle
