Ovarian cyst pain

Hi, I am here cos I am terrified!! I have to go for a transvag ultrasound next week. My symptoms for the past 2 years have been, pain in my right side, bloating, constipation, irregular bleeding (past 3 months) pain in my left hip.Weight gain and generaly just feeling unwell and dizzy. My gyno said I am tender on the right side and she could see I was when she did an internal. I know she did a pap smear and also it felt like a biopsy!! a sharp pinch!!! I had a biopsy years ago when I had pre cancerous cells on my cervix and it felt the same. I know I should of asked but I just wanted to get out of there, silly I know but I am so scared. She said she thinks I have had a blood filled cyst that may of burst( I had heavy bleeding and awfull pain 6 weeks ago). I know I am too early to start worrying but I can;t help myself.I am booked for next Sunday for a pelvic and transvag ultrasound. Any reassurance or advice would be appreciated, btw I am in pain now right side as usual. I am 42.
Thanks alot.

Thanks again Mary :) I am grateful for your reply. You know people say it is the silent killer and I was suprised when I saw the symptons and realise why so many woman put off going to the doctors. The symptons can be mistaken for other things IBS included and it can be abit embarrassing. I constantly get heartburn too and thought this was cos I was constipated but the gyny said it can be cos the cyst is pressing on the colon. I know I am in the 99% group at the moment and pray to god I stay there.
Best to you and everyone here and Happy Mothers to all ((hugs))xxx

Hey Suze!
Glad you are comfortable enough with us to admit the nasty symptoms you endure!  There will be other posts from women who had the same!  It is something to worry about so don't let anyone tell you it is not, they do that in a well-meaning way but you should worry!  It is a survival instinct we all need, worry leads to action once informed!  I am glad to have met you Suze and hope to hear from you soon!  Mary V

Mary, Thank you so much for your reply. I live in W.V. I do not know why they gave me a Sunday appointment other than it is a day when hubby can take me. I am from the U.K so I don,t know my way around too well and have not get any friends here yet,so feeling quite alone in this. I have been here over 2 years and it was my first appointment with the gyny.I know I should of gone to an appointment in the U.K but it came through just as I left, then with one thing and another I put it off.
Your right I do feel miserable:( but I am trying to be positive. I know people say don,t worry until they say it is not benign but that is easier said than done isnt it? I do feel guilty when I can see other's here have OVC and I feel bad for them. I just think cos I have left it so long that I might of made a big mistake. I have other symptons too such as gas, trouble going to the bathroom and sometimes it (sounds awfull) comes out in strings, like threads. I have constant headaches and nausea. Sorry for going on and on and my heart goes out to everyone who is fighting OVC and I pray for them (hugs))) Thanks again

I'm beginning to glean from this site that pain is not necessarily a sign of cancer.  Mine was painless and I was bothered by increased gas (loud and silly farts :)) and felt a lump in my abdomen.  Stay with the benign cart until you know otherwise.
