I glad they found it early for you.
Alex
Hello, I had similar problem. I had to wait whole month since I learned I have the mass to have that thing removed and it was killing me. In the end it was cancerous but at very early stage. It think getting tests and removing it sooner is better!!!
Anytime Ovaries or Breasts are involved women get scared. I have had four cancer scares in my life. Three were benign and one was Cancer.
The one the doctors missed they missed big. They feel terrible.
Most ovarian cysts are benign. But Ovarian Cancer can't be readily checked with a mammogragm, a papsmer, or and endometrial biopsy. I thought as long as all those were clear I was Cancer free.
I had symptoms and they missed it. I bleed for two years straight even after a uterine ablation, then I started throwing up all the time. It got fewer and fewer things. I had extreme pain in the Ovaries. They took my gallbladder out and the pain was still there. I had diaphragm spasms because the Cancer was leaning against it. I was thin but my belly was all bulging like I was pregnant. This went on for years. Finally they did an ultrasound and I was full of Cancer. It was in 15 places.
It is better to be safe with the Ovaries than sorry.

Thanks for the advice Alex, just a tad confused whether I was overreacting that's all :), I emailed my gyn and he has called today and asked me to come in sooner :) that's a bonus
If you are worried you can have the tests sooner. There are many reasons for Ovarian Masses which are not Cancer. I had a breast mass checked out recently against my Breast Cancer Doctor's advise. It was a benign lymph node. It was good to find out for sure. It meant 12 painful mammogram shots and the cost but it was not Cancer. Do what what will make you rest better.
If it is Cancer they go very fast. They did an ultrasound on Friday. I was the Oncologist Monday and was in surgery Monday. They were talking about taking everything out possibly leaving me with a collostopy bagto poop from.
