Hello Bip I can give you the answers you are looking for.  I too had cervical cancer.  I was only 15 at the time.  It is very treatable and very cureable.  She needs to keep up with her paps and all testing.  I went through what is called cryo to treat my cervical cancer it was very scary but worth it!!!  Tell her be strong be a trooper and hang in there it will be over before she knows it!

there is a site in the UK jo's trust that is dedicated just to cervical cancer and also on the hystersisters site there are many cervical cancer survivors.  Cervical Cancer can be very curable provided that she receives the proper care.

Good luck!!!

From what I know, cervical cancer is very treatable and probably curable. I know two people who were diagnosed with it, one about 15 years ago, the other about 4 years ago, both with full-blown tumors, not just dysplastic cells on the cervix. The latter is definitely alive and disease-free, and to my knowlege, so is the first person (though I haven't been in contact with her for a few years).
