Hi,
Most of you know my story about surgical adhesions....(ouch!) and I so get the whole thing about not being able to even walk. Don't wait two years to do something though ...but do check with the doctor to see when you could start an aggressive type of massage that some of us have written about.
I know I posted something on the Hysterectomy site...and this one as well. I really must get it together and put it up on my "journal" on the profile.
Let me know if I can be of more help.
Good luck.
Mary
Would you post back here what your doctor says about the pain? I am 3 weeks out from my total hysterectomy and I started having the same exact type of pain you mentioned. It started after doing a lot of walking (we were shopping). I was walking so slow that it was starting to annoy my daughter - LOL.
Thank you. I will be seeing my gyn monday for a yearly checkup and i will discuss this then. In the meantime I will use the moist heating pad. Thanks again. Gia :)
About 6 months after my hysterectomy, I would get cramps. They were mild, but scary. Another survivor told me that they were caused by adhesions from the surgery. They're normal. But, I'd still talk to your doctor about the pain to confirm it.
Have you tried heat? A hot water bottle, rice bag or a nice, warm tub bath might help.
Good luck and happy soaking!
