Welcome, Murray--I am new here and have not had a hysterectomy, but I am sure someone will get back to you shortly. It is a great group here!
Kepp checking! God Bless!
Murry....WELCOME! Go to Adhesion complications dated 5/20/06 on this site. Shoot...I just posted a lot of other info and then went to hunt for the date of that post and I lost the other information I had typed to you. I might finally quit doing that...this was not the first time!
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am glad to hear that you are paying attention to what your body is telling you. I am not certain, of course, that adhesions are the problem, but then I had no idea just how awful they were. Mine started about 6 months post hysterectomy, which I had in Sept. 2000. My doc was sending me in for MRI's...they thought maybe I had colon cancer....turned out to be the adhesions. Read and see what you think. I found a marvelous way to break them up...the pain relief was instant and long-lasting. It involves a special massage which I do myself on a small ball....I still do this about two times a year to keep things healthy and unglued.
Take care, and again, welcome to the site...and thanks to thuney for greeting you so warmly tonight. Take care, Mary
Something just hit me...when I was a little girl, my Dad's nickname for me was "Murray." Cool.
Yo Mare... to avoid losing your "stuff" .... copy and paste it onto a Word document, minimize it, then go searching, then you can retrieve it ... copy and paste it again if you lose it (which I do on this site usually) and re-post....
Love Katie
Yo back at ya! I have sort of done that....my document section is getting so big now, that I decided to copy and paste my information (from here that I think I might have to reference occasionally) to Emails and then semd them to myself....that way, I can search easily for the email (don't know if this is just a feature on AOL, but it sure is nice) PLUS...I get MAIL. Sad, I know.
Take care KT, Mary
What's funny is that my nickname right now is "Murray," because that's what it sounds like the receptionist at works calls me when she pages me for a phone call.
As far as the pain coming from adhesions, it could be possible. I know I am overdue for my yearly examination with the OBGYN. What sort of concerned me were the papillary structures inside the tumor that was taken out when I had my hysterectomy. These pains are similar to the type I had when I first consulted with my doctor.
Thanks for all your feedback.
