PCOS & Ovarian Cancer

Hi. I just joined today & I just had surgery 1 week ago.I have a history of PCOS.Over the past 5 mo. my pds came every 2 weeks & I got more migraines. Since I'm in my late 40's eveyone thought it was perimenopause. Went to my GYN had check up & pelvic sono. That's where the trouble began (10 days ago). I had a 4 1/2 inch dirty cyst covering my left ovary.I was then set up for laparoscopy(instead of the originally planned D&C). The cyst was actually5 or 6 inches. He obviously removed the cyst, ovary, & tube. The right side had a significant double cyst so it also had to go.The good news in all of this is that my Dr. said things looked encapsulated . I have my follow up next week.I'm still in shock & trying to deal with all of this, so any support would be appreciated. thank you

Thank you christyb4 & Kim. This has been a rough 10 days.I appreciate all the prayers & support. I 'm glad I found some "sisters" who understand.I've had alot of post surgical pain(the Dr. accidenly caused an old back injury to flare up--not a big deal in the scheme of things-).I also got my period once my ovaries were removed. I'm just starting withsome mild hot flashes.--I know those will get worse.
As for the pain, I'm on som Rx'd stuff because I'm allergic to asperin, advil & alleve.
I also have 9 yr old BG twins that we've been trying to hide this from
thanks to all CB
