Red itching skin on abdomen

My mom is on doxcil and gemzar.  Last treatment was a week and a half ago.  Could itching all over body and a red colored abdomen be from doxil?  Even though  treatment was 2 weeks ago?

Hi there,
Your mom's itching and redness is most likely the doxil.  I had the very same thing happen to me about two weeks after my first treatment several months ago.  It was on my torso and arms.  Call your mom's Doc about it because they will want to know since it is a common side effect. Good Luck.

You know, anything is possible with chemo!  It would probably be a good idea to call your mom's oncology team and ask about it .....hopefully they will have answers and suggestions for you and your mom.
