Pain

I have had left ovary pain since May. My doctor ordered a pelvic ultrasound.  I went to the appointment and suddenly during the ultrasound, the tech made me change into a gown and did a trans vaginal ultrasound.  I had no idea it was coming.  What would make a tech do this without having this test ordered by my doctor?  I am worried because I put this off for so long.  My 17 year old son has testicular cancer, and I finally realized I need to see a doctor to ease my mind .  I won't know the results for several days, but the test made my pain worse. It radiates to my back and down my left thigh.  I have zero pain on the right side.

Oh my god, kid....not enough already on your plate....now worsened pain to deal with.  It is so easy to worry when dealing with the unknown.  If something is really worrisome I would think the doctor who ordered your ultrasound would contact you.  I went in for an ultrasound not knowing it was routine to follow with a transvaginal ultrasound anytime a cyst is found......98 - 99% of ovarian masses are benign......try to hang on to that.
I am so sorry to hear about the testicular cancer your 17 year old son is experiencing.  That has got to be hell for you.....I certainly hope , and will offer up a few prayers, he is able to rid his body of this disease.  Crazy world.
I would suggest you call the docs office....explain the world you are living in right now and ask if there is any way they can put you on a fast track......it is imperative you be relieved of any and all unnecessary stress.  Just not fair.....hang in there....know I am thinking about you and will be looking for your future posts.  Take care, Beth, and hang in there.
Peace.
