Results from CT scan

My doctor called and said that he got the results back from my CT scan and I need to have another ultrasound on Tuesday.  I was worried and got a copy of my report myself.  I don't have it in front of my but I have read it so many times.  There was a uterus present.  A normal bladder.  There was a cyst like mass in the left adnexal area questioning ovarian cyst or distended fallopian tube.  3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.  There was also something about a perirectal fatty tissues edema. ??????  I am not sure about that.  What in the world does any of that mean?

Good News I havnt got OC my CA125 level came back at a normal level of 25, my US showed details of my womb consultant said it's basicaly a funny shape with thickened walls and I have 2 fibroids attatched to each ovary and both non cancerous
he is going to refer me to a genetic specialist to check if I am carrying the gene mutation and it will be upto them if they screen me or take my ovaries away

I have to go back to see my GP today and go through symptoms again severe tiredness bloating (looks like i'm 6-7 months pregnant) weakness throbbing pains in both ovaries more or less constant now back pains etc and she what she thinks

what happens now he did say one of the fibroids on my ovary is 5cm didnt say the size of the other one do I have to put up with all these problems related to the fibroids or will they actually do something about them

anyway I wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year

The perirectal fatty edema is some swelling in the area around the rectal "fat pad".  Lots of things could cause that.  You have fluid filled mass of some type int he area of your tubes and ovary which if unknown until now will send you for ultrasound.

Have you considered finding another ob Dr.you must understand this is your life and if it is overian cancer they need to tell you thats what it is and try to find what at this point to do to save your life.Kids you can always adopt if you dont have and ever want.

Yeah, I have already done that.  I have been having problems for two years.  My symptoms that match ovarian cancer are:
Discomfort in lower abdomen. - sharp pain, dull aches              and tenderness for 2 years in Sept.
Abdominal swelling and bloating - I look six months pregant sometimes, belly really changes drastically every day.  Really heavy sometimes feels like I am packing something. - 2 years
Gastrointestial complaints - constant hearburn and indigestion and belching just since maybe June. I keep a big bottle of TUms with me at all times, I also have kidney problems which I attributed those syptoms to.  I've had abnormal and irregular periods for 2 years.  I have been drained and exhausted for two years.  I have recently, in the past four weeks, lost all appetite.  I just realized I haven't had a meal since lunch Friday.  I have shortness of breath.  And I had unexplained weight gain of about 15-20 pounds but I have probably already lost 2-5 of those.    In addition to those a swollen lymph in my groin, hair loss, mood swings, excessive scar tissue in my abdomen sticking my uterus and bladder together stuck to my abdominal wall. And atleast one miscarriage, possibly two.  I have seen a couple ob/gyns in the same practice and my local GP and a doc from the urgent care. I have been tested for lupus which was negative and was advised by my ob/gyn to have a hysterectomy when I couldn't stand the pain anymore.  But no real explaination as to what is really wrong with me.  I am only 25 and up until 2 years ago I felt so good and was so healthy.  I was looking for answers when I saw a iridologist who gave the only logical explaination.  In that it was cancer and spreading.  And gave a completely senseful explation for each symptom.  Of course I am hoping and praying he is wrong.  My ob/gyn has yet to even call me back.  All this testing is being done by my GP, and he is sending the results to my ob/gyn, who seems not in the least bit concerned.  ---- (thanks for letting me vent)-- Oh yeah, gyn problems run in the family, I am the only female it seems left without a hysterectomy.  Others due mostly to endo, fiboroid, several cysts, etc.  My mom also had uterine cancer at about 40.

Iam not aware of anything other then the cyst sometimes they can have things on in or around them that can be cancerious.
