could it have been nebothian cyst? or something like that? I hae them as well.
Barb, did the doctor offer you some sort of anti-anxiety medication? I think if my doctor tells me to wait-n-see about my simple cysts and that mystery on the non-existent ovary then I will need medication!
Hi, and thanks everyone. Yes, it is Nebothian cysts. Named after some dude who discovered them. The way the doc described it was like the lining of your nose, the lining of the cervix has mucous membranes. For some reason when you age, those start to be over grown by skin so these little pimple things develop there when the mucous tries to excrete. YUCK!!! More than I wanted to ever learn about and know.
Yes, I've had mid pain for many, many years, particularly when ovulating on the left side. Plus, I had pain on and off for many years from chronic diverticulitis that I only learned about in June of 2005 and had a foot of my colon removed in September because of. Apparently, there have been several times that I was treated for kidney infection, as recently as April of 2001 when it may have been diverticulitis and leaking into my abdomen from the sigmoid colon. More YUCK!!! That time I was in the hospital for four days, white cell count of 21,000, but nothing found in my urine, just excruciating flank pain.
I've had abdominal pain on and off since the early 1970's. Problem is, I usually toughed it out only to find out I had this leaky bowel thing going on which kept my autoimmune system all revved up and caused all kinds of problems. In comparison to the pain from that ****, this pain is really pretty small, except during ovulation time, then it's really kinda bad. I've been in pain for so many years, it's not funny. I really thought I was done when the sigmoid and part of my descending colon were removed, but it appears there's all these different things going on. Chronic inflammation in the bowell, going into my bladder and female organs, or maybe the otehr way around, we're simply not sure. The doc thinks this hemorragic cyst thing can probably just be added to all the things I've just dealt with over the years but now can't keep it at bay because my immune system is just plain tired. . .
Nope, no anti-anxiety meds, but I bet Margaritas or chardonnay'll work Mickey. . . :).
