Septate/adnexal ovarian cyst?

I had a transvaginal ultrasound done for my right ovary & the report states it's an adnexal mass & suggests partial septate. Everything I read about solid masses & ovarian cysts etc... says it's from ovulating. Well, I'm 31 & have been getting the depo shot for years so I don't ovulate so how did I get this "cyst". What are the chances of it being malignant and/or of needing laporascopic surgery?  I have an appt. w/ another OB/GYN next week for a 2nd opinion but I'd like some insight on what the above means, my dr. was being sort of vague. Any kind of explanation is greatly appreciated.
Thanks :)

Hi there , there are so many women who get ovarian cysts and most of them are benign . Some times you can get cysts from having endometriosis and these cysts contain blood that can be solid inside the cyst and have fluid parts as well . Doctors will watch these cysts for 1 or 2 menstral cycles to see if they resolve on their own , if not or if they keep on growing then they have to come out . Take care - Silver

Thanks for your reply.  What I'm a bit confused about though is I don't mestrate because of the depo shot.  Does that make a difference?  They did say they want me to get another US in about 2 months.
