Should a complete hysterectomy be done with complex cyst with thickened septations?

A CT and ultrasound showed a complex ovarian cyst 2 cm three months ago. Since then, it has grown in size (3.5 cm) and the septations are thicker. I am a breast cancer survivor with two children and 48 years old. I have a huge family cancer history. My mother died of lung cancer, my dad and sister have stage IV lung cancer and my maternal side have all had some type of cancer. I have tested negative for BRCA 1 and 2. Should I be concerned? I have severe bloating, fatigue, nausea, and indigestion. My periods were every 28 days until this cyst was noticed. I have not had a period in almost 70 days. I am worried to say the least. My CA 125 was normal. I am also being check for lupus as my blood work is positive for ANA and CRP is high. Thank you

You just need the cyst out. Ovarian Cysts are 98% benign. Unless you have the BRCA gene you have a 1.4% chance of Ovarian cancer in a life time. It is less the younger you are. Hysterectomies cause problems. Especially if you have your ovaries out. You need your ovaries for as ex life. With them gone that is changed forever. Bone density. Night sweats. Hot flashes. There can be even more problems. Plus your uterus holds the other organs in place. I had no idea all the problems I would have with a hysterectomy. I had no choice with so much cancer. It used to be that mostly male doctors thought when you stopped having babies it did no harm to take the organs out. Now they know better. Lung cancer has no relation to ovarian cancer. You have to have a close relative die in their 50's of Ovarian. I had two and I am BRCA 1.
