Speaking of Eyes....

Teresa #2 (Doicat) mentioned in a post yesterday that her eyes were getting weaker. I have the SAME problem. In fact, I just picked up my new glasses yesterday.  I feel the chemo is doing a job on our eyesights. The eye doctor agreed with me.

However.....when I got in the car and looked at my new, shiny glasses in the rearview mirror, I noted they were GOLD in color. I would NEVER have ordered gold with my silver hair such a prominent feature on my body now.  So..it's back to the eye doc to get it corrected today. I know I ordered black rims. Doggone it! It took them forever to get them to me because of the ice storm in Kentucky.

Do some of you have vision issues too? My eyesight has gone downhill.  And this used to be one of my strong points. I could see without glasses. Oh well.

I've been wearing bifocals for 10 years already .. since my mid 50's .. so I can't really comment on that .. except I get eye strain/headaches if I stay on the computer for too many hours.

No, my hair was mostly brown before chemo.  I was shocked when it came back mostly silver. (better word for gray)  Thank you for your comment on it. I really love wearing it short now. It's healthier than it's ever been in my life.

Get those eyes examined so you won't start getting headaches.  My eyes are very swiftly going down hill too.

Yes Teresa, my vision has really declined.  I did not have to wear glasses, even readers before chemo, but I keep telling myself that I need to have an exam because I am sure I need them now.  Was your hair not silver before chemo?  I think you and your hair look beautiful:)
