Surgery for Complex cyst tomorrow
Keep me in prayer that all is benign!! By this time tomorrow I will be through the surgery for my 10cm ovarian cyst. I am believing God for His healing hand for His word says" By His wounds you are healed". Stay close to the loo, john whatever you want to name it when you do your bowel prep, because the MiraLax hits you quickly. I will keep you all posted. Thank you for your prayers. I am smiling and so happy for you. Glad to hear even the "ugly" looking cysts can turn out benign. Many other women on this forum will be encouraged. Take care during the healing process.
My gyn/onc did a greAt job removing ovary and tube. The chocolate cyst was 12cm about 5inches and contained a lot of old thick blood (chocolate pudding consistency) which came off as solid on MRI. The where a lot of adhesions to the uterus which was pulling on it. The incision ended up from belly button to above pubic bone to get at all adhesions. The pathologist ( best in the country) happened to be in the lab today.(teaches other pathologists) said it was completely benign. It does hurt standing up, but I was using the toilet on my own within 15hours or next morning and I was home 5hours after that. Just letting you know in case someone is starting this journey and got a bad MRI report like I had. Only on histological examination ( cell study) can determine if a cyst is benign or malignant. I also had a d&c for endometrial polyp. Endometriosis is what caused the elevated ca125. I will have a follow up test in a few weeks after all swelling is gone. To all out of surgery 5hours ago the complex cyst was completely benign. Tubs out to be a chocolate cyst. Old blood appeared solid even on the MRI. More details tomorrow. Thank you for prayers
