Surgery this week

My results were Complex Cyst on right ovary 2cm with septation and vascular.  I am 42yrs old and I am wondering, are there benign conditions instead of cancer?

I think you are doing the absolute right thing in having surgery, because it is the only way to know for sure and pro-active is always the best way to go. As said already, most cysts are benign, so let's pray that is so.

Good luck and I will be thinking of you!

thanks for the encouragement because I need it.  I am a single parent and my child needs me.  I never, ever thought about ovarian cancer in my life and here it could be a possibility.

the doctor mentioned that my cyst was on the right side was complex, with septation and vascular activity.

Hi,
Yes this cyst could be benign, approximately 95% are so try not to worry too much . Usually these cysts aren,t removed until they reach 5cm and over unless they are causing symptoms of pain etc . What has your doctor said about this cyst ? is it going to be monitored for growth ? . Let us know how you get on .

Take care Angie
