Can a UTI or kidney infection raise Ca125

Just wondering if anyone knows if a bladder infection can cause your CA125  to elevate. My gyno did blood work on me when I went to see him for the infection  and I'm wondering what kind of number I'm going to see. He also put me on Levaquin which was worse then the infection itself. My oncologist is out of town right now which is why I had to see the gynocologist. Thanks

I was told the same thing as Marie by my oncologist. Perhaps if the rise is quite significant you could request another CA 125 test if your oncologist doesn't suggest one once the infection has gone.

Best of luck to you and take care...Janet

I was told any infection that causes inflammation can cause a slight rise in a CA125. I hope things turn out okay for you.  Marie
