To Kate04

Hi Kate,  Today is Wednesday  - how did your trip to the gyno go?

Did you get to Corlette/Nelson Bay over the weekend?   I had the w/end with my parents in Hawks Nest - it was their 50th Wedding Anniversary!  My dad has been crippled by a stroke for the past 20 years and my mum just had a knee replacement but it looked as though they were both getting around better than me!!    Still finding it hard to race along after the lap but most of the cramping has gone now - just weird nerve jabs and still the swollen belly!!

I hope that you got to take some time with the native birds!

Yes they taste HEAPS different!  Cadbury's in the US is made under licence by Hershey's and the ratio of cocoa and sugar is different.  My husband is american and he hates the Australian chocolate and I hate Hershey's - so I guess it is what you are brought up on.

BTW - when I moved to the US I bought Ocean Spray cranberry juice just as I always did here and it tasted horrible (to me).  Anyway, I rang their 1800 number and asked about it and they said that they manufacture it differently for specific countries tastes.  US has 27% juice and is sweetened with corn syrup while they one they send to Oz is less juice (25%??) and sweetened with sugar!

Also, the Forsters beer sold in the States is produced in Canada and tastes different to that sold here!

Enjoy those eggs!

Hi,

I'm currently at the start of the mountains just temporary. I'm looking forward to getting back to our home in Port Stephens.

Ihad my learners when I was 17 in New Zealand and had driving lessons. Then I came to Sydney when I was 20 and lived in the Northern Suburbs and inner City so I didn't really need a license and now 10 years have somehow passed so quickly and I thought I'd better get my license again.

I'm glad that your tummy is going down that will make you feel alot better.

I love Cadbury Creme Eggs. Yummmy....Enjoy!!!

Have a Happy Easter. There will be alot of people on holidays out your way.

Take care

I am so sorry that you have not been feeling well.  I hope that you can re-schedule your appointment soon!

Do you live in the Blue Mountains?   How come you only have your L plates - weren't you interested in driving?  For me getting a license was "freedom" from the farm!

I am driving with a little pillow between my tummy and the seatbelt because my incision on the left is still pretty tender and that is where the everything and the buckle seems to come together.

Yesterday I managed to suck my stomach in a bit!   It was so exciting!!   I made my DH put his hand on my belly and said "feel this"!  Up until then I would try and nothing would happen - it was the weirdest feeling.  Of course, I don't think that DH could feel much happening but I KNEW it was happening on the inside and I was so happy!!  It was reason to have one of those yummy Cadbury creme eggs!!

I hope to try an American one. I'm originally from Dunedin New Zealand where they have a Cadburys factory and went on a tour when I was at High School.

Have a goodnight.

Hope your tummy keeps on going down.

Really, the Cadbury eggs are different here?, well the only thing I can think of is they can't taste bad, no matter what - they are my fave too.  I admit I buy them for myself and hide them from the kids and dh!!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Hi,

Itd great hearing from you. I have been wondering how you are and was going to post you.

I didn't make it to the Gyno today, along story. I haven't been feeling to well for the past few days, trying not to complain. Anyway I'll have to reschedule. Its hard where I'm currently living as it takes 1 1/2 hours to get to the city, and I only have mhy learners license, and my boyfreind was up for work at 4.00am and still isn't home.

How is your recovery going apart from the swollen tummy and the jabbing? Its good that the cramping has stopped. I hope that you have managed to get some rest along the way.

Congradulations on your parents 50th anniversary I love hearing stories like that. They must be happy to have you home on such a great occassion.

Was it hot in Hawkes Nest? It was warm in Sydney. I haven't managed to make it up to Port Stephens yet. We really need to get up there soon to collect our mail. If you are in Port Stephens during your stay let me know.

The parrots are still cheeky and greedy. We have had alot of beautiful Rosealla's around lately.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Hawkes Nest, make the most of it.

Take care
