I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Although I do not know much about radiation and ovca I do have a few friends that have recieved radiation along with chemo for other types of cancer.
I wish your friend the best of luck and hope that it works for her.

There were two women that posted here with OvCa spread to the brain.  Kristan (I believe was one) and Helen - Fresh Air the other.  There is two types of treatment, gamma knife and whole wave....I do not know the difference.  Although we lost Helen in April...as she put it, upstairs was clear, the problem was downstairs.

Best of luck to your friend.

I have heard that radiation, while no picnic is easier than chemo at least.  I am so sorry to hear this news though and will be praying for a good outcome from the radiation.

My aunt had lung cancer spread to the brain.  Radiation worked well for her.  Tumor gone, but some memory difficulty.  I wish your friend well. Marie

oh man, sorry to hear about that. I have no personal experience with radiation as I always refused to take it. I hear that its better than it used to be though, that they can target the turmor now instead of flooding the body with that ****.
Good luck to your friend.
