postmenopausal complex cyst

Hi, Ultrasound last week revealed 2.5 cm solid cyst on right ovary and CA125 result was elevated "higher than we would want to see".  Gyn is discussing results with surgeon but may recommend watchful waiting for 10 weeks and then repeat tests.
I am now worried that 3 months down the line things may have got worse and I may need surgery then anyway.  I am getting remarried in Spring and would like to have this all sorted out and feel well before then.  I am considering asking for the ovary to be removed now but I obviously don't want unnecessary surgery.  Has anyone had similar results and could let me know outcomes.
Thanks Jx

Only similar to the watchful waiting...we were monitoring my 8cm dermoid cyst for a year  originally found during my pregnancy, and it didn't grow nor shrink so we they are removing it via robotic laporoscopy on OCt 20. Idk what type of cyst you have if it's functional or complex, and the fact that it is  still pretty small  might be the reason they recommend waiting. However I'm also a firm believer in second opinions and if your not comfortable with the way your physician is handling this go for a second opinion. Good luck and congrats on your wedding
