ovary back?

had a MRI last week on my spine and the MRI said i had hemmhorgic cysts on my left ovary.  told them i couldn't have, that ovary was removed in 1997, so they sent me to another facility for an unltrasound and it came back the same. i don't have either ovaries and have had a hysterectomy.

I feel for you.  I hope you can find an excellent doctor that can figure out what is going wrong.  I think most medical doctors will say that ovaries cannot grow back.

Sounds like you the doctors that are supposedly removing your ovaries can pay for any future surgeries you need.  I am so angry.  I had surgery in 1999 to remove my ovaries and then recently had surgery again.  This doctor told me there were staple scars through my one ovary, so guess the previous doctor just tried to murder my ovary instead of removing it.  There was a large cyst on the other ovary.

I think I'll go back to the original doctor and see if he wants to  help me pay for this last surgery.

Sorry, I just think like any other profession - we have doctors that just aren't all that great.

I hope you health improved.

I had a hysterectomy in 2004 and ever since than my OVARIES came back 4 times...yes it is possible but rare...I had a cancer specialist who did my last surgery remove everything again in 2006 and let me tell u all this...they grew back again...I just have to live with the fact that they grow back inside me and I have to live with this constant pain for the rest of my life...thank's for reading this

had to go back for vaginal ultrasound yesterday.  came back the same.  my doctor checked with others as well as her professors.  said she is told that the ovary cannot grow back, but i've had 3 tests done at different facilities and all 3 came back the same.  will have another in 4 weeks.  thinks it is overian remeint syndrome, but the tests say different.  took me off my hormones for a week and did blood tests.  the tests said i was menopausal. but doing great without hormones.  no hot flashes, no mood swings or anything. just like i was before the ovaries were removed.

I have a similar diagnosis from my ultrasound last month - simple cyst on my left ovary.  I know for a fact that my left ovary was removed in 2004.  My doctor (who removed the ovary herself) is puzzled by the u/s report, and I am to have a follow-up for more information.

the hysterectomy was in 1990.  the left ovary was removed in 1997 and the right in 2004.
