Update on Sharon #2

Hi Ladies, I am so sorry that it has been so long since I have given you an update.  On Friday, I called her in the morning to find out how she was getting along and he said she was doing really well.  Well at about noon, he called me back to tell me that she had taken a turn for the worse.  Her oxygen level kept going very low, so they put her in surgical ICU and they did a Cat-Scan.  When they did that, they found that she was asperating and removed some fluid from her lungs.  When they did this, she felt alot better and they were able to lower her oxygen intake (I was so sick on Friday that I was not able to get on the computer.  I am so sorry).  Saturday night, her daughter called me to tell me that she was doing well and they moved her out of the ICU into her own room.  She said her spirits were high and she was trying to fight off pneumonia.  I did not get a chance to talk to her for long,as I was still sick and was now at my parents house in Illinois.  I did not hear from her dh or dd yesterday, so I called when I got up this morning and her dh said that she is back in the ICU.  He said that she has a blockage that lowers her oxygen level anytime she lays down, has acid reflux, and is still asperating.  He said that she is trying to come down with a case of pneumonia, and will be in ICU till tomorrow at the earliest.  He said that they are looking at a coming home date of Friday or Saturday.  I got her number to call her in the ICU, but I am not going to do that till this afternoon.  Her dh said that she is in very good spirits and is just waiting to come home.  I will do my very best to give you an update tonight, but it is kinda hard since my parents computer is down in the basement and it still hurts a bit to go up and down the staris.  I am so very sorry that it took so long to get back to you all and I hope you can forgive me.  Please keep Sharon in your prayers.  Lots of love to you all, Kasie

Have they decided whether she is going to need chemo yet or what her course of action post surgery is?  The last I read was that it was borderline? Is that right?
