Very confused

Aloha guys,
My first post here and thanks for the feedback you may be able to offer.
I have been monitered by my gyn for 5 mon with a 3.5cm comp cyst,, at last US it measured a 3.9, and a new mass solid appearing of the right adnexa, with blood flow was found. 2.2cm.
So forward 2 weeks later, yesterday, I have a nother CT and they fax me a report this am to my house, oh geez why on a SAT!! My report says the complex mass has resolved, ok yea!!!!!!!!!!
But here is my confusion, " The two cm solid component cannot be discerned and this may have represented normal ovarian tissue. No free fluid. So are they saying they are not sure about the blood flow mass? I am so confused. I go back for a follow up on Tues, but now my mind dosen't stop.

Any feedback from you guys?
Aloha and Mahalo,
Liz

I would like to know a little more before I attempt to answer some of your questions.  1st, what does "run heavily" mean to you.  How many women in your family have had this?  Have you had a mother or sisters get this cancer and/or die from it? If you have not yet had any children you must be youngish.  How old are you?  Some women do get OVCA and still have children.  Have you ever had ovarian cysts? OVCA is the most deadly gynecological cancer there is.  It kills more women than all of the other gynecological cancers combined.  Having said that, you can take numerous steps to lessen your chances of getting it and of catching it early if it were to develop. If caught @ Stage 1 there is a 92.1% survival rate so catching it early is paramount.   At the very least, you should be having a transvaginal ultrasound every year along with a CA125 if the TVUS is the least bit suspicious.  You should aquaint yourself with this disease and I am adding a link to a good site @ Johns Hopkins that you should read.  Please get back to me though and I will be able to give you more info.  http://ovariancancer.jhmi.edu/menu_understanding.cfm

Waiting is just HORRIBLE but do something fun and keep telling yourself that there is a 98% chance that nothing is wrong.
I can't imagine a lab or hospital faxing your test results without them going through a Dr first.  That would never happen here (TN) even if you wanted them.  The one time I went to the hospital to get my test results while my Dr was out of town they looked at me like I needed a psychiatric consult.
You are just going to have to be more of a tita than a chicky right now.  (Three years of my wild youth were spent in Hawaii Kai.)
Take Care and let us know how it goes Tuesday.

Thanks for the feed back.
I know I am uptight, but it has been a long 6 months. I have had 4 ct and 3 US, ready to get on with it.
Ya know, I am a positive person, I have been feeling icky for so long now. Lost 23 pounds, all the symptoms, etc.  I am adopted as well, so have no history.
I am going to the Mainland for TG and was going to follow up with a doc there, that is why I am sorta in a rushed funk. I just don't understand this CT. Dosen't seem to me after reading my report only about 1million times that they know weather that mass is still there, I guess that kinda bothers me.
You are right on the blood flow part, I mean can that just dissapear?
My name is miss panic by the way, LOL...
Anyway Mahalo, means thank you.
So Mahalo,

Hello Liz.....turning that mind off is a really tough thing to do!  You are simply going to have to be confused until Tuesday....that is ONLY three more days.....aaaaaagggggghhhhh!  I know it is tough but don't waste a good panic when you aren't sure you should panic just yet!  Hang in there...the blood flow is evidently estblished in this report. Still, the cyst is small and 98 - 99% of all masses are benign.  Try to stay positive ...easier said than done.....just don't borrow any trouble....try to enjoy your week-end.  Stay in touch....what does "Mahalo" mean?
Peace.
