Question about sono report

Hi,

I was hoping the doctor can explain what this means for me? atenverted uterus without focal abnormality. Endometrium measures 1.5cm in thickness. Nabothian cysts are seen in the cervix and vagina. Right ovary contains 1.5 cm cyst. There is fluid in the cul-de-sac.

IMPRESSION: Thickened endometrium measuring 1.5 cm. 1.5 cyst in right ovary. Small amount of fluid cul-de-sac.

CA-125: 22.3

Thank you so much...I am being screened due to lack of familial history and then some weird family member telling me my maternal aunt had Ovarain cancer...any help would be apprecaited!

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I had a complex cyst 2 years ago and had to go back in 6 weeks later and it was gone but never any fluid...so was COMPLETELY freaked out...I have been a wreck all day...

Thank you so much!

Cathy

P.S. I cant seem to find the doctors forum!!

By the way,  I noticed you are looking for a drs. answer..you have posted in the member forum and none of us are drs.  You will need to post to Dr. Goodman but I think she will say the same thing.  Good luck.

For now...your scan sounds good...like it is negative for ovarian cancer.  Small cysts like yours are usually no cause for concern or treatment.  If you ever get tested and hear solid or complex, or have a cyst that continues to grow you will need to pursue it further.  Congrats on the good report!  Best wishes.
