What happens next

My mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2005. Had hysterectomy. She started chemo in 2007 had chemo for 2 yrs then developed blood clot in lung and her Dr and her decided no more chemo. Just let the cancer run its course and enjoy what time she has left without being sick all the time. Presently she spends alot of her time sleeping sometimes 20 hrs a day and she doesn't eat very much, she is taking 120 mg avenza twice daily and has other pain med but she doesn't like to take it cause she doesn't want to feel dopey. Has alot of pain in right side which may be why she wants to sleep don't really know what to expect next. Don't get alot of answers from hospice nurse, she comes 2 times weekly. Anyone know what we can expect next???

You are in a very tough situation. You need more support and information from the way .you've described your Mother's health status.  Have you considered getting a second opinion at a major cancer center?

April, I'm so sorry that your mother - and you - are suffering. I can only say that I will pray for you guys. Does your mother have insurance? Many insurance companies have a "Dial-A-Nurse" or something like that helpline. Hoping for comfort for you.
