What to expect 6 years after treatment?

I was diagnosed with stage IIIc endometriod adenocarcinoma in 2002 during an appendectomy. My right ovary was removed.  I had a complete hysterectomy 5 weeks later, then a month of daily radiation, plus a radiation boost, then 6 rounds of chemo with doxyrubicin, cisplatin and paclitaxol.  I was okay while we were actively fighting, but once we got to "wait and see", I fell apart emotionally.  Can I relax now, or is it more likely to come back with time?

You are our hero!!

You need to know that, of the four kinds of ovarian cancer, endometrioid has the highest cure rate.  The longer the survival, the less likely a recurrence will happen.

Congrats.  Just live your life...have lots of fun, and consider yourself exceptionally lucky. : )

6 years is great!!!!!  The further out from treatment the lower the risk of recurrence.
Time to start living and let go of the statistics!!!!!
