My answer from Sloan Kettering:
We are not aware of reports that show wheat grass is high in phytoestrogen. However, this product has not been studied in ovarian cancer patients and the exact effect remains unclear.

Why not. It is ignorant to think that there arent things out there that could help. Sometimes we need to step outside the lines and try things. My mom went to Moffit Cancer Center (one of the best in the nation). Her Gyn oncologist says alot of that stuff like alkaline levels is bogus. But when I said can I give her flor essence , he said ya it wont hurt her, We had both read the book on Rene Caisse. It is interesting stuff
Bolthouse Farms Green Goodness, check it out,it is had wheatgrass, spirulina, all the green cancer fighting veggies, also many fruits and tastes good.Wheatgrass shots tastes like a fresh mowed lawn, plug your nose and down the hatch.Jamba juice has them. The special juicers are pricey, but worth the investment. Its great stuff!!!! God Bless,Jen
I understand where you are coming from, there may be no definitive proof. I'm all for evidence based, medically researched treatments. I have benefited tremendously from those treatments and wouldn't be here without them. However, if my doctor says its ok to try it, it doesn't make me feel physically/mentally bad (which the wheatgrass, although not harmful, did by tasting so gross) and its not dangerous...I'd like to try it. It makes me feel more in control when there is chaos. It may be more hopeful than effective, but that's ok with me.
I'm sorry...but I don't go for nor support all these diet supplements that are supposed to make a difference. If they worked, they would be shouted from the rooftops.
Wheat has plant estrogen, so one would assume that wheatgrass does do. But you know what they say about assuming...
I tried wheatgrass shots after reading kris carr's book. Figured it might be worth a try. I did not find the taste appealing at all and decided to stop after a few days! Not sure about the hormone like effects of it. Good luck, maybe you will find the taste more appealing!
