Knowing the grade of the tumor is important for prognosis and treatment decisions.
Low grade tumors don't tend to respond well to chemotherapy so it's important to know this when discussing treatment options with an oncologist. A grade two or three cancer (a high grade) the cells divide much more quickly and therefore *tend* to have a better response to typical chemotherapy.
