GYN appt. today-still clueless

I had requested a re-evaluation from my GYN since I was getting worse. I gave him the same list I gave my family dr. last week. He came in the room and told me I didn't have uterine or ovarian cancer or endometrosis. I asked how he can be so sure...based my age and a clear ultrasound. You know maybe he's right. I pray he is. I'm so frustrated. I know I'm sick. I haven't been able to work since mid Feb. I've been sick since Jan. and no one can find out why. This visit was a waste of time. He did a pelvic and rectal and said everything was perfect size, shape, texture, etc. If the CT scan on Friday doesn't give some answers or the blood work from last week, I don't know what else do to do. I'm out of time with my employer even though I don't feel any better. Thanks for listening. I know there are so many here that are so much sicker than I am. My heart goes out to you all.

Hi , I think you are going to have to keep on going back or maybe see another gyn, you know your body more than anyone  and you have to take care of yourself even if you have to be persistent . Its clear that they will have to do other tests to see whats going on before you start getting depressed and end up feeling worse . I hope you get it sorted out soon , take care - Silver

No doctor can make a diagnosis  of cancer without doing a path report from tissue retrieved during a biopsy or surgery.  Wait till you get your scan results and either return to the GYN or get a second opinion. My daughters doctor told her not to worry for 4 months and 5 visits,  that she did not have cancer.  A second opinion  showed otherwise,  Let us hope that yours is something that is causing your illness and is NOT cancer.  Gall bladder, thyroid, hormone imbalances, many other distrubances can cause the same symptoms.  Good Luck

I'm so sorry you're not getting answers either way to your satisfaction.  As Star said, maybe your CT can reveal more on Friday, but also let's hope it's something other than cancer.  Also, you need to keep pushing - go to another doc, etc. until you get to the root of your issues b/c not feeling well like that is just not right.  I'll say it again, it really stinks that the only way to really nail down ovarian/gyno issues is through surgery and path.  It's just not right.  Try and get well as best you can and keep posting; believe me I know how frustrating it is.  Hopefully I'll be taken seriously on Monday.  Take good care.
