Worried, am i ok?

Hi, i hope someone can calm my nerves. I am a 52y/o and started early menopause at age 45.  I have been on HRT medications.  Well this week i had some vaginal bleeding but not enough to wear a pad, also, was not on panties, but it was bright red.  I called my doctor and they made a appt. for Tues am for a ultrasound, she said my ovaries had already shrunk , she could not even see them, which she said that was a good thing.  But, she still did a biopsy in her office and it hurt so bad.  We should have the results by Friday? I am a mother of 3.  Tell me should i be scared with my ovaries already gone?

I feel that you are very wise getting some tests done to find out what is going on. There are many reasons why we bleed after menopause and all of them should be taken serious. I am mainly concerned about your taking HRT, maybe you should have the levels tested.  You did not mention and pain or discomfort, ovaries do shrink but do not completely disappear. check back with us after you see the test results.

Thank you for responding.  I have never had any type of pain or problems in the female department.  Not even infections.  Do you believe even though she did not see my ovaries there is still a chance of a problem?
