Would you mind! Prayer for Deborah...

A friend of mine has a friend in Washington. She's been through the whole trauma of breast cancer. Recently had some major ovary problems and of course was worried about OvCa. She had the surgery and everything came out fine. We were all celebrating. Today I get an email that says they nicked her bowels and she has severe peritonitis. She's in ICU fighting for her life. I know there's risk in surgery but she's been through so much already. This breaks my heart. So if you have a good thought or prayer hanging around, would you send it her way?  Thank you all so much.

I hope your friend, Deborah, continues to improve every day and that , your friend, Lisa, is allowed to see deborah and be there, as she should be, for her. God bless them both and you, Irene. My prayers are with you all.

First of all I apologize for my thread title. I meant to use a question mark to ask for prayers, not an exclamation point. Obviously I was feeling wound up and upset when I typed that.

Second - encouraging news. Here's what Jill wrote to me:

I saw Deborah this morning and she is doing better than last night.  Power of prayer.  It is a miracle combined with the fact that she is a fighter.  Today it looks like she'll be on the winning end.  She will be in ICU for several days and then hospital for I'm not sure how long.  The infection is dramatic and she's being pumped full of all kinds of good stuff.
Thank you for all of these prayers and yours too.

I let her know you were all praying for Deborah. As you can see, you're an influential group of women. Thank you for the love you share so freely.  Irene

Thank you all so much. Jill (my friend) is so upset right now. The hospital won't let her come into the room and see Deborah. I know, HIPPA and family only rules. But it's hard to let a best friend go through this alone. She's in Washington state by the way. I'll let you know how it turns out. Your kind words, thoughts and prayers mean so much.   Irene

Ireneo,

Joining the prayer chain.

Oh My gosh, I am so sorry to hear this. I will be sending positive thoughts her way. Is she in Washington, D.C.? I was born in D.C. and raised in Suburban D.C.
