ovarian cancer

I have been having left side ovary pain and really bad lower back pain shooting around to the front and down my hip.  What could this be?  It seems to be getting worse as the weeks pass.  I had a hysterectomy approx. 13 years ago but still have my ovaries.  I found out that my exhusband has herpes and I HEARD that if I have them and do not know this is one of the causes of ovarian cancer.  I don't know why I am feeling so strongly about this but I am really scared.  I have scheduled an appointment with a gyno in two weeks, but I would like to have some piece of mind, if any before I go.  Please help.

Hi There
pain can be from so many things. Most things are benign.  It is not possible to render an opinion for your without information about your physical exam, labs, possible xrays.  It is good that you are seeing a doctor. That is the right next step.
best wishes
