I am now on Doxil after two six cycle rounds of carbo/taxol -- Be aware of the possible side effects of Doxil that the doctors kind of poo poo -- go to Doxil.com and think about using ice packs on ankles and wrists during the infusion. There are also stage III clinical trials for Ovature out there to make you sensitive to platin again -- my doctor also keeps talking about Navelbine as a possible alternative treatment, although my research showed it mainly is used for small cell lung cancer. The Femara, Evista, and Arimidex and Tomoxifen are all used to try to stall the need for chemo again, but don't make anything go away, they just slow it down if the do anything at all,. THe Evista and Tomoxifen didn't do anything for me. I was also diagnosed as IIIc 5 years ago and am now 48.
Good luck and just keep trying.....
I may have missed it, but what happened when you met with the Onc on May 8th?

Thanks girls! Wow, someone like me! :) My CA125 is on the rise, I have had positive lymph nodes and 3 were removed during the debulking. The only activity they can see with the CT are the nodes, no tumors. My Onc wants to consult with some of his peers and come up with a new plan May 8th. I hope the Doxil goes well msjazz. From what I am seeing, it looks tolerable. Thanks for the input. Good luck and keep in touch.
There are so many different chemos and chemo combinations out there. As Donna mentioned, ther eis doxil, topotecan, there is Femera, Armidex, avastin and so many trials out there.
What does your doctor suggest???
Good luck and keep in touch.

I ahve been on gemzar/carbo for recurrence. I had carbo/reaction, and now gemzar may have quit working. My doctor plans doxil next week if numbers are still up. There is also topotecan, and you may qualify for a clinical trial. It depends on if you have a tumor or just ca125 rise. Donna
