borderline tumor history, follow up ultrasound

Hi Dr Goodman
I have a history of bilateral seromucinouse ovarian turmor had right ovary and tube removed together with omentum and appendix. Still have left ovary. I had an ultrasound two days ago. The results are:
Left ovary contains multiple cysts. The largest meaures up to 2.2 cm and contains an internal cyst. No mural nodules or calcifications. A 1.0 cm hypoechoic lesion with increased through transmission likely represents a hemorrhagic cyst.

I was told to have another ultrasound 3 months later. Also, my Ca 125 reads 9, 2 months ago it's 10.

i wonder the fact that the cyst contains an internal cyst makes it more worrisome and whether i should have a follow up ultrasound sooner? You opinion will be highly appreciated as always.
Thanks.

Hi Dr Goodman
Thank you for your suggestion. I'm 32. I'll ask my Dr to repeat the ultrasound in 6 weeks. Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear Sophie
How old are you? if you are less than 50, you may be still ovulating and cysts on the ovaries are most commonly associated with ovulation. the recommendation to repeat the ultrasound and wait is reasonable. I know it is really hard waiting. You can ask your doctor about repeating the ultrasound in 6 weeks just to get you through a menstrual cycle for your peace of mind
take care
