thanks for the advice, I will give it a try.
P.S I forgot. If you can get some slipery elm bark from a health food store, this does as it implies and keeps everything slippery, so it may help with food getting stuck near the high pressure area.
Hi,
Regular laxatives that soften and gently move the bowel motions is good to keep the stool of a constant consistancy. Movicol sachets over the counter will help. You can take these each day when constipated up to 3 per day. It sounds as though your bowels are sporadic because of some sort of pressure, this is almost like getting rebound diarrhoea giving you a good clear out when the body can. This will then take a couple of days to refil the lower bowel area.
Meat will slow your bowels down dramatically, you may notice more constipation if you have eaten red meat ie a whole steak.
Drinking warm water eases the discomfort when constipated.
Drinking home made juices help to relieve constipation as the high vitamin C content gets you going. There are plenty of calories in juice, so you may not feel like eating and it wont hurt you.
If eating, avoid mixing protein with carbohydrates. Eg eat protein with veges or salad, or have a vegetarian meal. this will avoid gas.
Avoid fatty meals as gall bladder issues can irritate the digestive system.
If yor problem in the large cyst I am sure your gynae will not leave you in this situation. If he puts you on hold, insist he do something to help.
