ca 125 and blood work

Well thanks to all the support I got my blood work back and all my numbers are great.  I went to Chicago in oct and since have had a big change in my diet and probably tak 30 to 50 suppliments a day but it has increase my antioxidant levels my CoQ10 levels vit d level and many others.  Also my CA 125 went down to 1.9 which is close to my losest number.  I am now a year out of chemo and running as fast as I can to stay healthy.  I know not many people believe in diet changes and suppliments but i think what ever gives you a positiveedge do it.  PS  I was stage 3B.  So we all know that puts me at high risk and thats ok I just want to be strong and healthy

thanks for all the support.

Congratulations, that's great news especially considering you are stage 3!!!  You have no idea how glad I am to read about your good news and very curious to know more about your change of diet and about supplements.  I do remember you and I have exchanged postings here about supplements.  But I can't locate those ...any possibility that your could change your color to blue by registering your name on this forum? This way I can backtrack your posting to that topic.  Or can you include me in your email with bonnie at i m m l 2 at hot mail dot com??? I would really like to compare and add with what you are taking.
ps I am stage 4

Google Cranberries and Ovarian Cancer ..... even the National Institute of Health is looking at it.  Good luck.

Thank you Conquerer...............I'll try again.  *********atyahoo.com

JC my husband is going to laugh when he sees your post because he know how much I hate cranberries and cranberry juice.  I've done the cranberry grape for bladder infections and that is not so bad.  Thank you for the advice, I'm going to add that to my diet.   I've heard good things about blueberries too and try to have them everyday.

Has anyone seen the articles on cranberries and ovarian cancer?  I drink juice everyday or eat a couple handfuls of cranberries.  I started drinking cranberry juice/eating berries last July when my Gyn/onc put me on tamoxifen.  (I finished chemo 11/06 and by 1/07, my CA-125 started to rise and continued to rise, without evidence of disease).  My MD decided to try tamoxifen (works in 10% of ovca pts) and it has worked for me.  My CA-125 went down each month and is back in normal range.  I haven't been checked recently and my last CT was 11/07.  I'm not getting checked until April as my dtr is getting married the end of March....and I could not handle bad news now.  ANYWAY, they aren't doing studies on cranberries with other drugs, but I figured why not keep eating and drinking since they are so great for your kidneys.  Anyone with thoughts on this?

So glad to hear everything went well!  I'm 9 months out of chemo and just had my 3 month follow up and everything looks good.  I'm eating healthier, but not really taking supplements.  I would love to hear what you are doing if you don't mind emailing me or posting it here.  I also am going to start working out again although I read somewhere that does not seem to help much with ovca.   My email is ***@****.

Thank you,
Bonnie
