Hello,
I have a question for you regarding your cyst. What did you doc say will be done to the cyst? Will it be surgically removed?
I am asking because my Mom was diagnose with ovarian cancer last April and she had her surgery last Aug and she is still on chemo a few months ago she felt a pain on her right side and after having a ultra sound done - they said she had a cyst near her bladder.
Our family doc sent this info over to the oncologist who said there is nothing to worry about because Mom is on Chemo and therefore the chemo will take care of the cyst.
I am just wondering if that makes any sense - what are your thoughts on that? I am just wondering if I need to be concerned or satisfy with that answer
Regards,
Nicola.
I have two ovarian cysts on my left ovary and neither were found during a pelvic exam. The sizes of my cysts are:
Cyst 1: 5.9 x 5.0 x 3.3 cm 50.9 cc
Cyst 2: 2.5 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm 6.6 cc
I think it depends of the size, location and the composition of the cyst for the possibility the doctor to find it during a pelvic exam.
I was diagnosed with these cysts after an ultrasound after I experience excruitiating pain in my ovarian area.
I would think it unlikely since that is just a bit over an inch, and you didn't mention any other dimensions. So, if it is very thin, then that would make it much harder to detect.
