complex solid and cystic mass

Hi,
My name is Carla and I am new to this forum.
This is not a forum I thought I would ever be in because I never thought I would have a health problem.
Right now I feel so scared. I am 52 years old soon to be 53 but because I mountain bike every day and rock climb I have always been told I look 10 years younger and I feel younger as well.

However after a colonosopy done about 4 months ago I was told I have an ovarian cysts so I had an ultrasound done in April 09 and was told that I had a cysts on my left ovary and come back in 3 months so I did.
Now I have been told that I need to have an MRI which I just set up for this next Wed.

It says in the report under IMPRESSION:
1. Complex solid and cystic mass versus 2 adjacement lesions, one solid and one cystic, located within the left adnexa. Further evaluation with MRI is advised.
2. Focal area of increased echogenicity and hyperemia in the endometrium. As endometrial polyp could have this appearence. Further evaluation with MRI is adivised.
3. Multiple mass lesions scattered the uterus probably representing benign uterine fibroids.

The report is quite lengthy a page long but it says something as pertaining to it being 3.1 cm and the last report said it was 3.7 so I thought that was good. However when I talked to the gyno she said that it's not enough of a difference and that it could just mean it varies slightly on the ultrasound.
Also had a CA-125 which came back in normal range but then was told it is not always accurate.

Please someone just tell me something positive as I don't think I have ever been this worried, scared and unable to just to what I normally do without the consent thought I my mind.

Hi Jun,

I had the MRI done yesterday with injection of dye for better visual and I am very relieved and happy to say that I am OK.

My gyno called me later in the afternoon and sounded kind of puzzled as she said that it is not solid and not complex and it actually got smaller.
She said that there is a fibroid sitting close by that may have appeared to be a complex cysts when an tvus was done.

I had been to a Pranic healer a couple of days before and I do believe that is why is got smaller in a short amount of time.

I highly recommend anyone on this website do Pranic Healing.

Thank again for all your support and keep me posted on how your are doing.

Thank you so much for your post back it is greatly appriecated, and I am trying to stay calm and positive.

I have been getting energy healing from a woman that does what is called Pranic Healing and had it done yesterday so I am feeling much more able to cope.
I also am going to an acupuntist and taking herbs hoping all of this gives me a better outcome.

I didn't even know I had a cysts until a few months ago when I had a colonoscopy done because of anemia and my dad died from colon cancer, grandmother and uncle died as well from colon cancer. My mom also had breast cancer 14 years ago but it fine now.
No problems with the colon so I thought until they said I needed to get a TVUS done that is when they found the problem.

Because of my age I thought that the spotting for weeks was due to menopause, though I did feel full a lot of the time and had to pee in the middle of the night every 10 minutes. I did feel a slight jabbing or sharp pain if you could call it that on my left side of my lower stomach but that has since disappeared since I have been taking the herbs and doing the energy healing.
So when I went back for the 2nd TVUS I assumed that it was gone.
Now I am having the MRI in the morning.

You look so pretty and healthy it's hard to imagine you had anything wrong.

I will let you know how the MRI goes although I am thinking that I probably won't know for a few days.

Thank you again for your kindness,
Carla

I'm sorry that you are so worried about unknow.  Just want you to know that we all have been there, u are not alone.  would recommend the following:
1,  Please be very positive about the outcome, don't jump to the worst conlusion before final dx. In most case the fianal dx of OVCA is form biopsy.Ca125 can only be a side evidence for suppoting the dx.
2,  Over 95% mass from ovary if benign, like cyst (filled with fluid).
3,  Do u have any synptoms, such as bloating, feel full easily, low abdomnal pain, prequent unrinary,ect..
4,  Do you have family history?
5. U are heading the right direction to find the cause,  please following up by writing down all the qs you have and have them amswered by your dr on your next app.
6.  Hope you are seeing a gyn/onlogist, them are the specialist in the area and you don't have to have cancer to see them.
Don't over google on the net right now, too much info will make your head spin.  Try to be with friends play your favorite games.  As long as you make one step a time, you are a little closer to find the cause.   I would Hope for the best and prepare for the worse if i were u.  It just like anything else need time.
This is just my own thoughts hope will calm you down a bit.

Please keep us posted!

Peace and love
