Sheri,
I too have had a cough from a few different chemo drugs. But fluid building up in my lungs has also caused a cough for me. Have you spoke to your Dr about your cough? He may want to do a chest xray just to see what is going on. It also could have something to do with your blood counts being so low. When they are that low, it takes a lot longer to shake anything off.
Congratulations on your treatment.
Chris
Hi Sheri,
Congratulations on such a successful treatment! Sounds like you are in good hands. You say you had Taxol, mainly. Did you have any other chemo agents? Specifically, did you ever have Gemzar? I am asking because that one did a number on my lungs. While on it, I changed to a different doctor who took me off it, and said nothing but time would heal my lungs. I imagine other chemo agents could do the same to one's lungs. I assume they are keeping a watch on you, and doing periodic CT scans to make sure there is nothing in your lungs?
Best wishes to you, and I hope you find the answers you seek.
Gail
