I had a Transvaginal ultrasound and it says there that "few small follicles are noted in both ovaries" and that "minimal free fluid is noted in the posterior cul de sac."

What that does mean? I'm 18 years old. My first day of period was exactly 10 days before I had the ultrasound. I was asked to have an ultrasound because when I went to my ob-gyne for regular check-up, she felt something that was needed to be checked.

dear Marie
context is everything.

the meaning of your results will vary depending on your:

-age
-last menstrual period
-symptoms
-physical exam
-other test results

cul de sac is the area behind the uterus and in front of the rectum. It is common to have a little fluid there after ovulation

take care
