Thanks. I'm trying to decide between an embolization treatment for a large fibroid or hysterectomy. I posted another question/concern a few days ago with my family history and really got some great advice. Thanks to all. I had just thought of these two questions that I had been curious about and I thought that all cysts that were cancerous had to be over 4 inches? I also had read that a ca125 could give a false negative? Just wasn't sure.
Until you have pathology, you cannot determine if a cyst is benign or cancerous. The CA125 can be elevated for a number of reasons. If your CA is low (normal), your cyst has a better chance of being benign .. most are benign .. but until pathology, you will not know for sure. Hope this helps. Judy
