If it was I and the GYN was not addressing my concerns I would get a second opinion. Sometimes to doctors are better than one.
Alex
thank you for the advice. The gyn has planned a d&c but I am still concerned with the septated cyst and many noted follices. I know the d&c will hopefully cease the bleeding but the gyn made no note of the cysts. I am not pleased with him. Should I be concerned or am I just over thinking it?
Hi,
I understand your concern and it is important that you talk to your gynecologist and weigh all benefits and risks. While surgery is used to treat all stages of ovarian cancer and has been shown to result in a higher success rate, additional diagnostic tests may be requested to check for surgical indication. Take care and regards.
HI,
Even though you may not want any more children, you are too young for a hysterectomy. The bleeding can be stopped with help of haemostatic medicines and with use of hormones like progestins. Also a D&C may sometimes be necessary to stop the bleeding. The ovarian cysts need further evaluation regarding their size and nature. Many of the cysts in young women respond to birth control pills or regress spontaneously. Hence it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
