I noticed gah_70 is on aromasin. Is it a trial? I am estrogen _R  also.
I asked my dr. about Femara and she said she was saving it for later

I've had three cancers, all estrogen positive.  I tried a few medications and I'm now on Aromasin, an estrogen inhibitor.  I figure I'll try the Aromasin and see if it gives me more protection from a recurrence.  It's the least debilitating of the aromatase inhibitors for me, but it does cause joint pain.

It's in clinical trials right now for ovca, but I am NOT waiting for the results of the trial.  If there's *any* chance at all that I can help myself live a nice, long life, I'll take it.  Along with the aches and pains....

hope this helps, too

I tried first tamoxifen made me tired and nausous  then I tried Femara, the pain was so great in my joints and muscle went off it  I am now on Arimidex and 5 months into it it seems ok.  I have gone off it once before one of my races because of pain.  Arimidex is in the same family as femara only a little gentler..As my doctor said he doesn't know if it will help and it is not chemo but I am 16 months past chemo and have been on an estrogen blocker the whole time.  My tumor was estrogen positive.

hope this helps
