I was in the Air Force for just over 4 years. I loved my work, but frankly, I hated the military. LOL
I am praying for you for everything to go your way. You need the six weeks to recover. I went back after two weeks (part time) and it was hell!! I truly recommend the full six weeks (or more if you can get it!). Looking forward to hearing about the new grandbaby. New babies are always such a great joy in life! Godspeed

Cathy, you have a good game plan. You have my prayers for whatever it is in there to be some benign structure, so you can get well quick and start spoiling that baby.
Thank you guys so much.
Cathy
I'm glad things are going well and are linged up for post-op. Good luck on the surgery and congrats on the grandchild! I will be sending good thoughts your way that everything will work out fine!
Take care,
Michelle
Also, I want to let everyone know how much I have appreciated the warmth, support, and humor from all of you. The past 6-8 weeks have been rough... I've really had a lot of pain. It has been great to get feedback from others travelling similar paths.
The past week my pain has been escalating. Even with the tramadol and tylenol, I hurt. I've left work early every day this week. :( But, there is an end in sight.
Also, I got some great news from the VA (how is that for a switch). If any component of the surgery involves my Crohn's disease or the surgery for my Crohn's disease, then I will be eligable for temporary 100% disability. Which, since I do not have any benefits from my brand new job, will replace my income that I'll lose after surgery. If I don't get the disability from the VA, then I'm going to have to figure out how to go back part time after only 3 weeks home because of finances. If I get it, then I can recuperate the full 6 weeks with no financial worries.
