hormone levels after oopherectomy

I was wondering does anyone know when I have my left ovaries and tubes removed, will i need HRT, or is having one intact ovary ok.

Will my hormone levels change and will I notice a change to periods or experience mood swings due to hormone level changes or anything?

Thanks

I had left ovary and tube removed 6 yrs ago and have had 2 children since.  Never been on HRT and all is good.  Good luck!

Hey Chandrika --
As long as you still have one ovary, you should feel fine. It will kick in and take over for the missing one. I was born without a left ovary, and yet had two kids and a perfectly normal sex life, etc. Don't worry!
Let us know how things go, OK?
