What other symptomd do u have?

By 40 I was in peri-menopause dealing with symptoms you have mentioned. I agree, however, you might want to get your thyroid checked.
Good luck.
Peace.

I've had burning/itching for several years but most recently in the past year.
It is called pruritus and can have many causes.
I am 45 and had a total hysterectomy 7 weeks ago (because of ovaian mass that was borderline cancer) and tis burning/itching persists after the hysterectomy and is not the same as hot flashes (which I am now having due to surgical menopause).
I had seen a GI doc who investigated it for liver function etc. and could not find a cause. I have also had basic thyroid screening (which was ok).
I now know opiates (like morphine) cause the pruritus or itching, but it also occurs with me for other unknown reasons. I need to pursue this more, but I think it is some kin dof allergy and maybe a reaction to some stress.
It is very aggravating and annoying though, but apparently was not caused by cancerous mass.
have them do blood cultures to determine if it could be an infection because it could be things like cellulitis, etc. that you need to treat w/antibiotics right away
