Concerned about these things I went to my DR and she did tests to no avail. She said it was my Physiology of my body and it was normal, my body was readjusting.
My body order has changed too and I was blaming it on my body getting used to my deodorant. But nothing seems to work. This is interesting. Not to be too revealing or be gross but does it effect vaginal discharge too. It seems like a crazy question. i had asked my ob/gyn and he did a bacterial vaginosis screen among other infection tests but all came back normal. He said not to worry. I did not ask my gyn/onc for fear I would seem weird. So I will ask my faceless friends. I have a much stronger smell than normal of which I have had now for months. I am paranoid about it. My husband has noticed it too. So is it from my ovarian issues?
I've noticed that too, and had testing done for things like Chlamydia, etc. All negative. I'm guessing there's a connection there too.
Thanks for sharing openly U2.
You know i hate to say it but i have been noticing a odor to ,i am always lifting up my arm to sniff, sniffing my cloths and saying to my husband do i stink but of course he is not going to come right out and say hun ya smell.lol..and i noticed i have a discharge coming out of my belly button that has a rank smell to it...you know that is ashame to have to deal with everything that we deal with and a smell to go with it..lol....louella
I did not have a vaginal odor, not that I noticed anyway. I just thought that I stank all over! I thought I reeked of a chemical waste dump. Before I knew about the cyst, I had asked my best friend if she thought that had a bad or different odor, and she did not notice it. However, one of the first things that I noticed after my surgery was that I no longer stank. The effect was almost immediate; I realized it the day after I returned from the hospital.
Yes, ovarian cysts and tumors can do funny things to the functioning of the ovaries. Funny thing about the body odor - I thought that I stunk, but no one else noticed it. That stinkiness, which I did not realize was associated with a cyst, was the very first symptom that I had. It was only in hindsight that I realized that was a symptom. Apparently, what was actually affected was my sense of smell. And I too had pimples break out on my face. The pimples are a common side effect of perimenopause too. Perimenopause could be considered a form of "reverse puberty."
