Distracted

Hi Everyone!  Happy Valentine's Day and thank you for your wonderful support last week. I get my transvaginal in a week, on 2/21 and I find myself completely distracted during this "waiting period".  I am fine/positive/confident for a while and then deeply afraid--I feel absolutely bipolar. I can't concentrate at work, I find myself running the "what if" scenarios, etc.  And...I feel very very alone--my boyfriend and I broke-up on Sunday 2/12 (yep Laides, 2 days before V-Day).  It became clear last week that he really "wasn't there" for me--zero empathy, compassion, support, etc. So--I made the decision that I would rather be alone romantically, than lonely with the wrong person, especially at a time like this.  I have a wonderful family (that is local), supportive loving friends and now you awesome ladies !  Thanks for letting me share my feelings and fears.

Sorry to hear of the breakup, but you are right, if he can't be there in the tough times what is the point.  Don't worry, you are not alone.  We will wait with you.  Anytime you need to rant and rave, or just talk we will be here.  Sending you a big hug!

Girl, you are making me blush!!  Hey, I was thinking I could be a "Novary" sister, considering the fact that my little 10% of a lefty is not cutting it.  My dr has scheduled me for the bone density scan due to estrogen loss (and I am only 45).  Luv ya all

Well, part of your problems with concentration and fear might be due to hormonal disturbances and fluctuations due to any problems with your ovaries.    If it gets too bad then talk to your doctor.

Congratulations on dropping the dead weight!  If he was not there for you, then he was not there!  Too many women put up with that sort of reprehensible behavior from significant others.     If he grows a brain and realizes what he's lost, then he will come crawling back to you.

Amen Sistahs' Dawn & MickeyVicki! A few more hours and then V-Day is officialy over--thank goodness!  The amazing comfort of sisterhood.  It is so helpful to have a group of women who UNDERSTAND--have been there and can help support and guide you through the tunnel of the unknown & "to be determined". Thank you all and I wish you all a wonderful V-day!

Hey LC

Good on ya girl for dropping the 'boyfriend' ...
It takes guts to make a decision like that at the best of times so to be strong enough to do it while you're going through a few health issues you should feel proud of yourself for still being able to make the right decisions... YAY :-)

I'm sure I speak for ALL the ladies on this forum when I say we are all here for each other 24/7, we dont care how we look, whether or not we've put our makeup on, how much we complain about our pains, tests and waiting .... COS WE'RE ALL GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING HERE !!!!

I only found this site myself a couple of weeks ago and like you I've found it to be a definite lifeline while I go through a bit of a 'sticky' time.  The regulars on here are amazing and genuinley care, they always answer any question no matter how trivial it might seem to everyone else and are always there with a supportive comment or even just a hug to help us through the day.  I now log on here every day just to check in and see how everyone is doing.

Good luck to you LC, I'll follow your progress so make sure you keep us up to date with how you are and how things are going.

Big hugs to you and ALL the Cystas !!!!
