lymphatic infection and slightly complex cyst related?

Hi there,

I am 36 yrs old and I have ill for over 30 days.  I noticed the lymph nodes behind my neck were swollen.  No sore throat or cold felt.  Then I had a sharp pain on my side left side for a few days at the early part of my cycle. Ultrasound show a very small fibroid but otherwise fine.  I then began to run a low grade fever of 99.5 which made me extremely fatigued.  I had xrays of my neck but everything looked good.  I then began to have tremedous pain in my neck and shoulders.  Truly would wake me up at night. I noticed that lymph nodes under my chin started to swell with no pain.  Then the groin area.  Didn't even know we had lymph nodes there.  Swelling worse on the right.  After CT scan of chest, abdomen and pelvis.  Lymph nodes still swollen but no need for pathology.  A 3.5 X 4.4 cm right adnexal slightly complex cyst was noted, possibly with enhancing septation.  The radiologist believes fluid may  have been leaking for the cyst causing lymphadenitis.  I feel run down, wondering why the pain is on the left and cyst is on the right.  Swelling in my groin has gone down but still enlarged.  Are these things related?  Do cysts really cause a lymph node infection?  I will see my doctor in hope of a lapraoscopy.  I don't feel like my self and I my abdomen distends at times like I am pregnant.  There is no chance of pregancy.   Anyone experience anything similiar?

Hi Gina,

No I haven't yet had the CA125 blood test done yet.  Several people have suggested I get that done.  Thank you for responding.  They have asked me to do another urine test since I had some protein in my earlier test.

Hi,

I just went to my gyno who is confused because he says my ultrasound is clear with no sign of an ovarian cyst.  I am wondering what the radiologist saw on my CT scan then?  The swelling of my lymph nodes has gone down with the exception of the left groin area.  I still experience pain on my left side and occassion bloating.  My general doctor called to tell me he does see blood in my urine.  I am still run down and frustrated.  I was hoping they would remove a cyst and I would feel better.  One doctor thinks I have a cyst that is leaking and my Gyno thinks I need a specialist because.

Can endometriosis cause this type of pain and lymph node infection?

did they do any other blood test other than CA125??

In my opinion, Swollen Lymph Nodes can indicate other diseases/infections.  Just to be safe I would get more blood work done.  Good luck~

I feel for you. Are your lymph nodes sore and tender? Or do you feel the discomfort from the swelling?
