I meant to also say that the Neulasta shot mom gets 24 hrs. after she gets her chemo is very effective to get her cell count back in track. She feels feverish and sick after the shot. Usually spends at least 2 1/2 days in bed because all her body aches, her bones ache, her neck, her shoulders, etc. but after that is done, she feels really good. She also feels as if she has a cold after that, teary eyes, runny nose, sneezing but she doesn't have a cold. This is also after her chemo due to the esteroids but Neulasta also causes her to feel this way. She spent last weekend in bed after her chemo last Wed and the Neuslasta shot last Friday and today, she's feeling better. I would say that because the one shot is concentrated, it might work faster but makes people feel sick when they get the shot.

mom uses Zofran and it works like a miracle!! she has been thru 4 different chemos. As soon as she feels oozy and nauseous, we give her compazine. If that did not worl or if her systems of about to get sick are strong, we give her one Zofran. They are the best and strongest nausea pill out there. She lets it dissolve under her tongue and it does in 5 seconds and in 5 minutes, she feels better. So Zofran it's really good for your mom. Good luck!

I've used Zofran during my past 2 chemo rounds. I take it once in the morning and once at night for three days afterward and it works ok. I think I vomited twice each time. I hope your mom is feeling better!
Hi shayo,
You can juice anything you like. I tend to do the basics as cost is a factor. A common combiination is carrot, celery, apple, ginger. (about 250ml per day, too much will certainly get your bowels working) You can add orange, kale, spinach. Fresh sprouted lentils will give a high protein & vitamin C boost of already digested protein in the amino acid form, so minimal digestive work for the body to do. They make the juice taste a bit more nutty but still good.
Some purists who are fighting cancer would not touch anything with sugar in it and so do all vegetable juices. I like the above mix as it tastes really nice.
There are lots of juicing books around and raw food books which tell you how to grow your own sprouts in jam jars in the kitchen - easy. Or look on the net. good luck.
